Match of the Week – March 3, 2014

In the early 1990’s, Funskool produced a fully poseable superhero action figure that posed a striking resemblance to the most well-known comic superhero ever, Superman.

The action figure was made out of different G.I. Joe parts. Funskool, based in India, had the rights to create G.I. Joe figures, but they did not have the rights to mix and match G.I. Joe parts to create knock-off characters.

This bootleg Superman action figure is a sought after collectors item and is hard-to-find in good shape. One of our members posted this action figure as a Want on our our website in hopes that someone could help him locate one in good condition for an affordable price.

Lucky for our Superman collector friend, a Finder on FyndIt tracked one down in great condition for half the price!

Are you looking for a knock-off toy or rare collectible? Post your Want to FyndIt and let our community of Finders locate one for you. Perhaps you know where to find collectibles that others may want? Check out our site to see if you can help others find stuff and earn a little monetary reward for your acts of kindness.

Want of the Week – January 20, 2014

FyndIt is a great place to get help finding comic books. You can post a picture or description of what you are looking for and members in the FyndIt community will help you look for it in brick and mortar shops as well as online. Instead of having to proactively search for an item, the FyndIt community will do it for you for a small bounty reward. FyndIt lets you save time and money when shopping for rare or unique items.

The Want of the Week for January 20th, is a collection of comic book wedding covers. FyndIt member Mictecacihuatl, posted a call for comic book wedding covers on FyndIt. She is looking to use the comic covers as table markers for her friend’s wedding. Comic book weddings are all the rage these days. All you have to do is take one look at Pinterest to see how popular they are.

Mictecacihuatl has posted a handful of specific titles, hoping someone can help her find them at a good price. See if you are savvy enough to track down the comics in the condition and price point specified.

Besides wanting specific comic book wedding covers, Mictecacihuatl has made a general post to FyndIt incase someone might come across a couple of covers that she has not seen before. She is willing to pay up to $20 for each wedding cover depending on the comics condition. She will pay $1 bounty reward for every cover matched. The comic can be from any era, but she is mostly interested in comics from the Golden and Silver age. She specified that the covers must be in good condition since they will be on display.

If you are an expert on who married who in the comic book universe, or you just like weddings, try your hand at searching out comic book wedding covers and see if you can make a match.

Help other FyndIt members search for comic book memorabilia and you could earn a pocket full of money! Check out the Wants on FyndIt.

Finds For Five – Action Figures

There are action figure collectors on FyndIt who need help tracking down vintage toys. They are willing to pay a bounty reward to whoever can help them find what they are looking for. There are several action figures with a bounty reward of $5.00 posted to the Want section of FyndIt.  Try your luck and see if you can hunt down a Find for five.  If your Find is accepted by the Wanter, then you could walk away with a couple extra dollars in your pocket.  All you need is an email address to create a FyndIt account and you are on your way to earning money helping others find vintage toys.

See if you can locate the following action figures on FyndIt and if you can make a match, earn $5.00!
